Can you narrate your encounter with the attackers?

Soldiers came into the police station but they only rescued the cops on the premises. The son of one of our neighbours was shot and he died instantly. They met me inside the room. When they came in, they were with arms so I was scared and didn’t know what to do. I pretended to be dead. They ransacked our rooms and took everything. They put a heavy object on my leg and it was paining me. I moved a little bit. One of them noticed that I moved and he notified others. I stood up and pleaded with them to let me go. They said no and asked me to choose either to be raped or killed.

What was your response?

They did not even wait for me to make a choice. About 10 of them raped me. One guy came in and stopped them. He said he knew me and that was why they let go of me. They molested me. I was bruised. I left the community that same day after the incident. It was a horrible experience.

Can you identify some of them?

Yes. Before the incident happened, I used to see some of them around the community. I saw some of them smoking around a park whenever I was going to my mother’s shop in Oshodi. We never had any encounter with each other until that day.

How have you been coping with the trauma?

I don’t like to talk about it. I don’t want to remember it. For like three months, I had to undergo therapy in Sokoto. I had sleepless nights. Up till now, whenever I think about it, I hyperventilate.

Woman Raped Man At Gunpoint; Took His $200, Credit Cards And Iphone

 A 33-year-old man was allegedly held at gunpoint and forced to have sex with a woman in the backseat of a car after the woman’s female companion offered him a ride on the Near North Side over the summer.

The man begged one of his tormentors — who demanded he place his hands on her breasts and buttocks during the July 26 attack — to stop, Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Amanda Pillsbury said Thursday.

He eventually escaped, running out of the car naked from the waist down and into a taxi where a cabbie helped him and drove him home to the suburbs, Pillsbury said.

The man had been walking in the 400 block of North Kingsbury early that morning when 25-year-old Cierra Ross allegedly pulled up to him and offered to give him a ride, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.

While she was driving, Ross pulled out a black revolver and ordered the man, who was in the passenger seat, to get in the back and have sex with her friend, Pillsbury said.

The two women also took $200 from the man, his credit cards and iPhone, according to a police report.

When the victim noticed a nearby cab’s headlights, he decided to flee and seek help, Pillsbury said.

The cabbie let the man use his cell phone to email himself a picture of Ross’ license plate number, Pillsbury said.

The victim later identified Ross in a lineup, Pillsbury said.

Ross, who also uses the alias Octavia Brown, was arrested on Tuesday, the police report said.

The other woman has not been charged.

Ross, who appeared in court Thursday in Jordan gym shoes and a black and red striped shirt, has previous misdemeanor prostitution convictions.

The mother of two currently is a waitress at Denny’s, her defense attorney told Judge Israel Desierto.

Desierto described the facts of the case as “somewhat unusual” before ordering Ross, of Olympia Fields, held in lieu of $75,000 bail for aggravated criminal sexual abuse and armed robbery.

Man Who Raped An 8-Year-Old Boy In Akwa Ibom Sentenced To Life Imprisonment

 The Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo has sentenced a 40-year-old man, Aniekan Udom, to life imprisonment for raping an eight-year-old boy in Uyo, the state capital.

The court, presided over by Justice Bennett Ilaumo, on Wednesday, held that the accused, a native of Ikot Nkim, in the Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, was guilty of rape.

The state counsel, Maria Akpan, while reading the facts of the case, told the court that the accused was caught committing the offence in broad daylight.

According to him, the accused was caught inserting his penis into the anus of his victim by the lesson teacher of the boy, Iniobong Nta, at the backyard of their residence on Anyan-ikot Street, off Abak Road, Uyo

Akpan told the court that upon sighting Nta, the accused ran away, but was later apprehended by the police.

The accused, who was a neighbour of the victim’s parents, pleaded guilty to the offence, which was committed on Friday, August 28, 2020.

The police medical report confirmed that the victim was raped and that clinical evaluation indicated that he was in pain and had bruises around his anal region.

Justice Ilaumo, in his judgment, sentenced the accused to life imprisonment.

“Upon the charge being read to the accused person and upon his guilty plea after hearing the facts as stated by the state counsel, I enquired of the accused if the facts were true and correct and he admitted that they were. I have aligned same with Section 1 (1) (a) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law, 2020, and found that the facts align with the provision of the law therein.

“Upon the accused person’s plea therefore, I find him guilty as charged. The sentence upon conviction for this offence is imprisonment for life,” Justice Ilaumo said.

Man Butchers Wife, 2 Children In Inisa, Osun State

 A nurse Tunde Oyeniran, has allegedly hacked his wife and two children to death in Inisa town, Osun State.

Oyeniran, popular known as "Plato" allegedly perpetrated the act on Friday, around 11pm, using a cutlass to kill his wife, Sarah, and the other two victims.

Oyediran after killing his family, cut his hands and stomach with the cutlass and called for help saying they were attacked by assailants.

The Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said Oyeniran was arrested where he was receiving treatment.

She said preliminary investigation revealed a foul play, adding that the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department was already investigating the matter.

Opalola said, “From the information available to us, the incident happened around 11 pm last Friday in Inisa. The suspect reportedly used a cutlass to kill his wife, Sarah, and the two children living with them.

According to the information gathered, The nurse was known to be extremely promiscuous who went to a nearby town to have a fling with another woman. The wife was informed by people which made her to travel down to the said town.

This made the wife to leave in fury which later resulted in a heated argument. After succeeding in matching his wife, the two grand child that saw him while carrying out the act were also killed.

How Customs Officer Impregnated Me, Absconded –15-year-old Katsina Pupil

Can you tell us your name, age and why you are presently staying with your grandmother in the village instead of being in school?

I am Aisha. I am 15 years old and a JSS 2 pupil at Dutse Safe, in Katsina. My parents live in Kano; I am their first child. I am currently staying with my grandmother in the village since I was impregnated and I eventually put to bed about four months ago.

Who impregnated you?

The man’s name is Ibrahim. He is a (Nigeria) Customs (Service) officer in Katsina.

How did you know that he is a Customs officer?

He used to come to the village here in Customs uniform while he and his colleagues also visited in the Customs operational vehicle.

When and how did you meet Ibrahim?

One day, I was inside the room in the village when Ibrahim visited the village along with his colleagues. When leaving, he gave me N500 and dropped a phone number. He said I should use the money to help buy Fura (local wheat) for him. I bought the item as directed and later in the evening on that day, I called him that I had bought it – that was around 7pm after the evening prayers. He, however, told me that it was too late for him to come to pick it and that I should share it with my siblings.

Since that day, he kept on calling me. Then, one day, he came to our house in the village and said he was taking me somewhere in the Customs operational vehicle. He took me to an obscured corner and raped me.

Can you describe what the vehicle he came with looked like?

It was a Customs operational Hilux vehicle, painted in the Customs colour.

How did you know it was Customs vehicle?

Customs officials often come to our village in the vehicles painted in that colour while chasing smugglers.

How long had you known him before the day he allegedly took you away in Customs vehicle and sexually assaulted you?

Three months. We had been dating for three months and at times, he would come with his friends while on duty. At other times, he would call me on phone.

What did he discuss with you whenever he came around or called you on phone?

At times when he came, he would complain that there were too many people in the compound and he would ask me to follow him out of the compound where we would talk and he would promise his love for me and that he would marry me.

What time of the day did he usually visit you?

He came anytime he liked. Sometimes, it was in the morning; at other times, he came in the afternoon and even at night and he would take me to a corner where, at times, we had intimate moments. Sometimes he would give me money; at other times he gave me gifts.

What do you mean by intimate moments; did he have sex with you?

Yes, we had sex three times in a week.

How did you know that you were pregnant?

My neighbours were the first to notice that I was pregnant and they told me. My family, including my grandma, then called and informed Ibrahim about it. Later, he called me and said I should meet him somewhere along the road to the village. I still have the phone number he gave me.

Initially, whenever I called the number, he would pick it but later he was not picking my calls again. So, when the pressure was too much for me in the village, I ran away to Katsina and I met his friend who used to come with him to the village. His name is Idris and he is also a Customs officer.

I left home because I was afraid that my uncles and aunties would beat me. I told Idris that Ibrahim was not answering my calls. He took me to his room in their quarters and promised to take care of me until his friend returned from Lagos. It was Idris who gave me transport fare to go to Kano to meet my parents. He told me to go and meet my parents because he was afraid that I might die due to my condition.

Was it because Ibrahim stopped picking your calls that you reported the case to an NGO, Queen Dijah Women and Children Awareness Initiative?

Auntie Khadijat (the coordinator of the NGO), had all along been supportive of me. When she learnt about my situation, she took me to the hospital for the necessary antenatal care and initiated steps to make the case public. She wrote petitions to various government organs, including the headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service, the police and the Katsina State House of Assembly.

What exactly do you want?

Ibrahim, who impregnated me and made a mother, should marry me since nobody would want to marry me again. Secondly, he should come and claim the boy as the boy is his son. In fact, we named the boy, Hameed, after the Comptroller.

Nigerian Man Arrested For Raping An 83-year-old Woman In US

 A 52-year-old Nigerian man recognized as Olabamidele Olumide Bewaji has been arrested for purportedly raping an 83-year-elderly person experiencing Alzheimer’s infection.

Bewaji who was blamed for assaulting the lady at the Pillars of Mankato home in Mankato, Minnesota since the start of March, was caught by the woman’s child who set up a camera in his mom’s room so he could watch out for her while at home.

He told a neighborhood newspaper that he Bewaji, a carer, stroked his mom, before peeling her garments off and explicitly attacking her as she lay in bed. He asserted that the carer then moved into his mum's bed, where he supposedly attacked her a subsequent time.

Two Men Arrested For Gang Raping A 16-Year-Old Girl In Anambra

 It will be recall that on 19/2/2021 a 16 years old girl was brutally gang raped by two men at Osumowo street Awada in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, leaving her unconscious due to excessive loss of blood.

Following the report,police detectives trailed and arrested the suspects namely,

(i).Chidiebere Uzoma 'm' aged 45years of Ukaegbu Street Awada and,

(ii).Uchenna Nwegbu 'm' aged 23years of Osumowo street,Awada.

Meanwhile, victim was taken to the hospital for medical Examination where penetration and multiple lacerations of her hymen was confirmed.She is presently receiving treatment.Upon interrogation,the suspects have voluntarily confessed to the alleged Crime.

Consequently.the suspects were arraigned before the magistrate court Idemili on the 11/3/2021 for prosecution after investigation was concluded.

300 Level UNN Student Commits Suicide After His Phone Was Seized In Exam Hall

 A 300 level Biochemistry student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Mba Daniel, was on Saturday, confirmed dead after committing suicide, VANTAGE NEWS reports.

Our correspondent gathered that the student apparently made different attempts to take his own life between Wednesday and Friday before he eventually succeeded in hanging himself.

VANTAGE NEWS learnt that his phone was seized by a lecturer on examination supervision duty after he was caught cheating with it while writing BCH 353 exam on Wednesday, 10th March.

Daniel’s course mates who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that he last came to school after the incident on Wednesday. Some of them believe his quest to take his own life was due to depression that he suffered after he was caught engaging in examination malpractice.

His lodge mates at his residence in the Odim Gate area of the university community where the ugly incident happened told VANTAGE NEWS that Hypo bleach mixed with dye, hair relaxer and Captain Jack liquor were found in his room.

They also reported that rope tied in the ceiling of his room, knife, syringe and belt were also found.

According to them, it seemed he had attempted to take his life through the items but was unsuccessful.

Daniel eventually hung himself at the balcony in the second floor of the three storey building where he fell from the rope and landed on the floor, suffering a broken leg.

He was rushed by neighbours to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead in the early hours of Saturday.

Confirming the incident, the President of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry Students, UNN chapter, Silas Ijaja, said, “the information reaching me through the closest person is that the guy attempted to kill himself with corrosive chemical, relaxer and strong ethanol he mixed and drank but it did not work. He then used rope to hang himself from the balcony of his room where he fell from and fractured his leg. He was rushed to the hospital and confirmed dead on Saturday.

“It is obvious he died of depression over the incident that happened in exam hall on Wednesday. It may not also be unrelated to his inability to cope with the pressure of the ongoing examination. We have a lot to read and write this period and it is driving so many students into depression,” he added.

All efforts made to contact the Head of the Biochemistry department and school authority prove abortive.

Headless Body Of A Lady Found In An Uncompleted Building (graphic Photos)

 The headless body of an unknown lady was found in an uncompleted building at Etereva, Ozoro in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, HGS Media Plus reports.

The body of the deceased was found on Sunday afternoon, March 7.

It was said that the act might have been done by suspected ritualists for ritual purposes.

The body of the deceased has however been deposited into the mortuary by security operatives.
