A three-man joint investigation team have been set up to investigate the incident which police are treating as an honour killing.

Honour killing is described as the killing of a relative, especially a girl or a woman, who is perceived to have brought dishonour on the family and it's common in Pakistan.

According to the Ondo State coordinator the rapist did not only penetrate the baby's virginal but also gave her a anal penetration and damaged both her anus and virginal which will require major surgeries.

The hospital management have now instructed that any organisation interested in seeing the child must first write or obtain permission through the office of the CMD.
The Executive Director of women of inestimable values foundation is already working towards ensuring that the child get the justice that she deserves through necessary bodies.

This is very disheartening, I must confess. How do people like this ever sleep at night. What exactly did he see in this child that will warrant the monstrous act he meted on that poor child.
