... Vigilante man wounded while trying to rescue victims

On the 26/1/2021 at about 7:45pm, Police operatives attached to Ozubulu Police Station, arrested one Chukwuemeka Obijofa, 'm', aged 28 years, of Ofufe Nza village in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State.

Suspect allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained and attacked his wife, one Chisom Chukwuemeka, 'f', aged 26 years, and own child, named Amanda Chukwuemeka, 'm', aged 4 years, both of same address, with a shovel on their heads.

Suspect equally used same object and wounded a vigilante man who tried to rescue the victims.
Meanwhile, police detectives visited the scene and rushed victims to the joint hospital, Ozubulu, for medical attention where the two victims were certified dead by a medical doctor on arrival.

The wounded vigilante is responding to treatment, while the corpses of the victims were deposited at the hospital's morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile,the Commissioner of Police, CP John B.Abang, fdc, has directed the DPO to transfer the case to State CID, Awka, for discreet investigation to unravel the actual cause of the incident.

Rapist Throws Girl To Her Death From Five-storey Building

 Yesterday, the boisterous town of Awada in Onitsha South LGA of Anambra State, was thrown into anxiety and mourning due to the gory sight of a young woman (names withheld) that was killed in the area.

A neighbour who wants to remain anonymous, alleged that the victim came to visit her boyfriend yesterday but unknown to her, he has moved out from the area.

Continuing, he said, "the rapist was roommates with the girl's boyfriend and when she came and didn't meet her boyfriend after his number was not connecting, her boyfriend's roommate offered her to stay and wait for her boyfriend.

"As he was a known face, she obliged him and relaxed. Unknown to her, the erstwhile roommate has sinister motives as he left to go fetch condoms. When he came back, he jumped on her and tried to molest her and this led to intense struggle between the duo.

"It was in this process that he got angry after her retaliatory attacks and struggling and threw her down from the balcony".

It is alleged that this is the second time that similar incident is taking place in the area.

Lady Kills Her Husband With The Heel Of Her Shoe In Warri

 A wife on Saturday, in Ugbuwangue, Warri, Delta State, hit her husband with the heel of her shoe over allegation of infidelity, killing him in the process, IgbereTV reports.

The mother-of-two struck her husband, Sylvester Etsebanghanro Ighomi, at the back of his head with the shoe.

IgbereTV gathered that the couple had engaged in a misunderstanding over alleged infidelity on the part of the deceased.

It was learnt that the woman had approached her husband where he sat and struck him with her shoe heel in the back of his head from behind. He fainted and began to foam from his mouth and died before he could reach the hospital.

It is in doubt if the deceased was legally married to the woman or fulfilled all the marriage rites on her. But the deceased had lived with her and the children, a community source said.

The suspect has been detained by the police as at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, friends of the deceased have taken to Facebook to mourn him.

Rapist Caught In The Act In Cross River State

 He attempted raping a girl but unfortunately for him, he was caught by passer by.

according to the victim, she narrated that she went to condole with a colleague who lost a loved one in afrike, bekwarra local government of cross River State, on her way back to her place ogoja, around 8pm she boarded a bike(okada) that took her to "ukpah' a neighboring community to afrike, the first bike man handed her over to the suspect who attempted the act.

and ask the girl to give him additional N2000 or let him have sex with her, if not he's gonna abandon her there knowing fully well that it was a dengerous place. the girl refused to oblige, he now resorted to forcing his way on her, but luckily for the girl, they were some night Fisher men that over heard her cry and plea who later ran to her rescue.

he was then handed over to the ugboro vigilantes (a community in bekwarra). they disciplined him and they put his hands in native hands cuffs!

 The police have arrested a housewife in Kano State for allegedly killing her husband’s fiancée, a week to their wedding.

The police on Tuesday said Suwaiba Shuaibu, 20, stabbed Aisha Kabir, 17, to death in an uncompleted building in Doguwa Local Government Area of the state.

The police spokesperson in Kano, Abdullahi Kiyawa, said Kabiru Jafaru had lodged a report with the police that Miss Kabir was missing.

Mr Kiyawa said the police after preliminary investigation arrested Mrs Shuaibu of the same address as the complainant.

The suspect is the wife of Shaibu Ali, who was to be wedded to Miss Kabir on January 9, after six years of courtship, the police said.

“During interrogation, the suspect confessed that she had called the victim on phone, deceived and lured her to an uncompleted building in their neighbourhood where she used a sharp knife to stab her on her neck, chest and other parts of her body.

“I killed the Aisha out of jealousy because my husband proposed to marry her,” the police quoted the suspect saying.

Officers evacuated the corpse of Miss Kabir to Tudun Wada General Hospital, the police spokesperson said.

He said the state’s Commissioner of Police, Habu Sani, has directed the case to be transferred to the command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Homicide Section, to wrap up the investigation.

Mr Kiyawa said the suspect would be charged to court after the exercise.

Mum Accused Of Stabbing Her Newborn Baby 22 Times To Death With Scissors

 A mother has been accused of stabbing her newborn son to death with a pair of nail scissors before throwing the body into a trash can.

Mother-of-three Anastasia Skorychenko has been sentenced to two years in jail for allegedly stabbing her newborn 22 times, just moments after delivering him on her balcony.

The 30-year-old confessed to the crime during the sentencing in a court in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine, last week.

Skorychenko explained the motive for the crime by saying "the baby was unwanted" and "she could not afford it", according to reports.

Beautiful Lady Stripped Naked In Uyo After Stabbing Boyfriend To Death

A beautiful young lady, yet to be identified, on Sunday, allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State after they attended Winner's Chapel Church together at Abak Road, Igbere TV reports.

IGBERE TV gathered that the ugly incident which happened Along 4 lane Uyo caused panic and led to mob action against the lady.

The angry mob stripped the lady naked, poured water on her before she was rescued by policemen.

An eyewitness who spoke with IGBERE TV on the condition of anonymity said the lady stabbed the boyfriend on the chest and cut his legs.

According to the eyewitness, "after carrying out the dastardly act, the lady locked the doors and gates, jumped the fence before she was apprehended by angry mob that almost did a jungle justice on her".

"She should thank her God that policemen came for her rescue, ' he told our correspondent.

Although the cause of the incident has not been ascertained as the time of filing this report, our correspondent gathered that there was a misunderstanding between both of them which resulted to heated argument.

Efforts  to speak with Akwa Ibom Police Command proved abortive as call placed on their known line has not been answered as at the time of filing this report.
