9-Month Pregnant Woman Who Led A Robbery Gang Arrested In Edo

 A woman, Mrs. Juwon Akanbieme, carrying a 9-month old pregnancy, has been arrested alongside two other gang members during a failed robbery operation in Edo State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mrs. Juwon, who is heavily pregnant, is the leader of the robbery gang, who specialized in using her pregnancy as a trap to rob their unsuspecting victims.

The two other gang members were identified as Osagiede Izevbokun and Godfrey Okonide, who was apprehended after a failed operation.

This was disclosed by the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the arrest while stating how the gang operates.

He stated that the pregnant woman, Mrs Juwon, was made to stand by the roadside pretending to be in labour for road users to have pity and stop to offer assistance by probably taking her to the hospital.

However, any road user, who stops, is immediately attacked by the gang members who are stationed in the bush with dangerous weapons such as cutlass, knives, guns, and others.

Their activities had been going on before the Police unmasked and arrested them.

He said that the suspects will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.

The suspects risk several years of imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty for armed robbery.

 From The Information Reaching NAIJACOVER Desk, This Morning, Daniel Johnson, a 400-level student of the Tai-Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ogun State, is currently on the run after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Bukky, to death.

According to Online Sources Who Notify NAIJACOVER News Crew, The Deceased, a 200-level student of the same institution, had been in a toxic on-and-off relationship with the suspect, and her father, who is a lecturer in the same school, was aware.

On Sunday, October 11, Bukky was allegedly invited by Johnson to settle their differences. She went to his house in Abapawa, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, and he beat her up and stabbed her, leaving her for dead, NaijaCover Reports.

After he had killed her, Johnson ran off. Bukky reportedly managed to jump the compound fence and was then spotted by neighbors who rushed her to the hospital.

Ten-month-old girl dies ‘after being raped by her father’ who Googled “how do I know if a baby is dead

 A Pennsylvania father has been arrested for allegedly raping his 10-month-old daughter, who later died from the injuries she sustained.

Austin Stevens, 29, of Providence Township, was charged this week with aggravated sexual assault, rape of a child, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and other criminal counts in the death of his baby daughter, Zara Scruggs.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says Zara was at her father’s house on Saturday evening where she was found unresponsive around 10:40 p.m., following a 911 call.

According to a press release from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Lower Providence police responded to a home in the 3400 block of Germantown Road to a report of an unresponsive infant at around 10.40 pm on Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found Zara Scruggs, the unresponsive infant, and her father, 29-year-old Austin Stevens.

The child was immediately transported to Einstein Medical Center in Montgomery County and pronounced dead shortly after midnight.

Montgomery County District Attorney, Kevin Steele told newsmen that personnel who transported the child to the hospital gave authorities a blood-saturated diaper that the child had been wearing.

According to detectives, Stevens conducted several Google searches on his phone of “how do you know if a baby is dead,” “if the baby stops breathing,” “what if you don’t hear baby heart or beat,” and “my baby isn’t breathing.”

An autopsy determined that the baby girl, who had just learned how to walk, was the victim of a sexual assault and sustained anal rectal trauma and blunt force trauma to the head.

Attorney Kevin Steele says authorities are waiting for additional forensic results to determine the child’s cause of death as Stevens could face more charges

“This case is deeply disturbing. It is hard to imagine this child’s death being any more traumatic: sexual assault on an infant, followed by inaction by the father to save her life, led to her death,” Steele said during a news conference.

He added there was a joint custody agreement between Stevens and the girl’s mother.

Erica Scruggs, the baby’s mother, took to Facebook on Tuesday, writing: ‘I’m not okay. I really have no words … He will pay.’

Stevens is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $1million bail pending a preliminary hearing set for October 13.

Anambra Landlord Stabbed To Death By His Tenant (Graphic Pics)

 Friends, colleagues, family and members of the Ogidi Ani-Etiti in Idemili LGA of Anambra State have taken to Facebook to mourn Nonso Umeadi, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his tenant.

The deceased popularly known as 'Okpole' was found in a pool of his own blood and rushed to Iyi Enu Mission Hospital Ogidi where he was certified dead by the doctor.

IgbereTV reports that the 21-year-old man, identified as Onyeamachi Maju, who committed the crime, has been arrested by the police in Anambra State on Tuesday, October 6, and would be charged to Court for prosecution.

Police investigation revealed that the deceased allegedly had a short quarrel with his tenant, Onyeamachi over "bringing of too many women into the compound" that eventually led to a scuffle which resulted to the deceased being stabbed to death.

Another rape case has been reported in the Wadata axis of Makurdi. This one is between one Ali Usman, an adult of about 20years, and a 13year old girl within the same neighborhood.

On this fateful rainy Sunday evening, the little girl who sells a local food called Awara was selling it in front of the compound when this neighbor called that he wanted to buy.

He asked her to bring it into the room, she had brought it to the door and in the process of handing over the food, the young man dragged her by her hijab, covering her face and mouth, and preventing her cries from being heard outside.

He was so brutal, in fact, the crime scene is better imagined than seen. She lost so much blood in the process and was so weak, but she didn't stop making efforts at screaming even with her mouth gagged up.

Due to the fact that it was raining, her screams couldn't be easily heard. But with her persistence, the cries finally got to the neighbors and on breaking in, they met her almost lifeless.

She was rushed to the hospital and it was discovered she had lost so much blood. Her PCV was just about 19%.

I was called at the hospital by Mrs. Bai and I was able to raise some money for her treatment. The parents had no money on them.

I enquired if they have reported the matter to the police yet, and they answered in the affirmative. The Rapist has been arrested.

I moved them to the Police hospital yesterday where more tests were run on her. I left them after some time and I was later called that she had fainted again, and was rushed to the hospital. Obviously, more damage has been done to her than we can imagine.

The family has no money and is really reluctant in pursuing the case. In fact, a family member advised that charges be dropped as they cannot afford to go to Court. But I stopped them, this is not a matter to be left unattended to. Justice has to be pursued, and with all sense of seriousness.

I am using this opportunity to call on FIDA, individuals, and all other concerned bodies. This case needs all the support it can get. If this is left in the hands of the girl's family alone, there may be no case against the rapist and that will make one more monster on the loose, looking for the next available victim.

46-year-old Man Nabbed For Defiling Three Underaged Boys In Anambra

 Anambra State Police have arrested a 46-year-old man, Mr. Michael Nwoha, for allegedly defiling three underaged boys in Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The suspect, a native of Uzuakoli in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State but resides at No.10 Uke Street 3-3, reportedly had carnal knowledge with the victims on different occasions.
The suspect blamed the act on demons when arrested.

Confirming the incident, in a statement, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, said the suspect would be arraigned after investigations.

Mohammed said, “On the 2/10/2020 at about 8:30 pm, following a tip-off, police detectives attached to 3-3 Division arrested one Michael Nwoha ‘m’ aged 46-years, a native of Uzuakoli in Bende LGA of Abia State, but resides at No. 10 Uke Street 3-3 Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi LGA of Anambra State.

“Suspect allegedly had carnal knowledge against the order of nature with three small boys of between 6,14 and 17years on different occasions.

“Suspect has equally made a voluntary confessional statement to the police and blamed his act on demons.

“Meanwhile, the scene of the crime was visited by police detectives and three victims, all boys were taken to the hospital for medical examination.

“Consequently, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang has ordered for immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation after which the suspect would be brought to book.”
