A man named Mawuli Dossu is said to have been arrested after he cut off the leg of his daughter after an argument ensued between him and her wife leading to the incident.
Mawuli who is a farmer was said to have been arrested and charged to court and could face up to seven years in prison for the harm done to her daughter.
The Prosecutor, Police Inspector Clara Salia told the Court presided over by Jonathan Desmond Nunoo that on December 14, 2019, a misunderstanding erupted between Mawuli and his wife Joana Amewu.
According to him, during the argument, the wife took some clothes belonging to his husband which provoked him into taking a cutlass to cut her wife.
In a bid to cut his wife, he mistakenly cut his daughter's legs completely.
The girl was immediately rushed to the Agona Swedru Municipal Government hospital after which a case was made against him at the Agona Swedru Divisional office of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service.
