The Police in Masindi has in custody a 25-year-old man for allegedly defiling three children aged between 2 and 4 years.
The suspect only been identified as Aleka, raped the three minors in his house in Kibamba trading center in Pakanyi Sub County on Sunday.
The children were rescued by some residents who heard them screaming for help.
According to witnesses, Aleka fled into hiding but was tracked down and apprehended by residents who thumped him into a coma, only to be rescued by police and taken to Masindi Central Police Station.
The Albertine Region Police spokesperson Julius Hakiza told the press that the suspect is set to appear in court on charges of aggravated defilement contrary to section 129 (3) and (4) (c) of the Penal Code act.
Aggravated defilement attracts the maximum death penalty upon successful conviction.
