Insidenaija reports that an 11-year-old boy identified as Victory, hands were reportedly roasted by his mother for allegedly taking food from the port without permission, in Akwa-Ibom.
According to a source, the boy's hands were placed directly on fire by his mother as punishment for stealing food.Insidenaija gathers that the injured boy lives with his father, Clement a 'Keke Napep' driver, and his biological mother, an orange seller, at Ikot Obio Nkan street, Udo Udoma avenue in Ibesikpo Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State.
The report has it that, the incident happened on Friday, October 2, after the victim, Victory went into their kitchen to get something to eat after his parent allegedly left home without giving him anything to eat.
It was learned that the mother who later found out that the boy went into her kitchen to get food by himself allegedly lit the stove and placed his hands on the fire and inflicted serious injuries on him.
A closer look at the body of the 11-year-old boy, there are visible older injuries related to burning.
There's burn scare on his stomach alongside another scar on his body.
Akwa-Ibom state Police Command through it Public Relations Officer said the Command is unaware of the incident but pledged to investigate the matter.
