Nigerian Doctor Kills Wife, Attempts To Strangle His Two Sons Before Committing

 Sugar Land police in Texas are investigating the death of a Nigerian couple found dead in apparent murder-suicide.

The husband and wife identified as Benjamin Okigbo and Theresa Okigbo were found dead at their Greatwood home on Friday morning, December 18.

The discovery was made around 10:05 am at the Greatwood Subdivision in the 1500 block of Brookstone Lane. Police said the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

On Saturday, Police said that their investigation revealed that Benjamin Okigbo strangled Theresa Okigbo to death. He then attempted to kill both of his 21-year-old sons by strangling them before he eventually killed himself by hanging.

Both of the sons survived the attack with injuries that are not life-threatening. They are both receiving treatment at a hospital.

On Friday morning, the couple's daughter, who doesn't live at the home, went there after she became concerned. She then called 911 and told the dispatchers that her parents were dead.

"One of the kids dialed 911 apparently there was a fight or disturbance going on inside the residence," Police chief Eric Robbins said.

When officers arrived, they found the couple's bodies inside. They were both in their 50s.

Many neighbours were shocked when they heard the news. One said the couple had lived in the Greatwood home for about 20 years. She said she spoke to the wife a few days ago and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

The investigation remains ongoing.

According to the 40-year-old man, identified as Etifa Obukulubu, he set the house ablaze after catching his girlfriend engaging in a hot s*x with a pastor.

The female victim, a makeup artist and baker, Elvina Japheth Abilo was burnt to death in during the inferno at the Igbogene-Apie area of Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa Stateon while the pastor identified as Henry passed away later.

Reports says, Etifa’s girlfriend had broken up with him weeks before the incident but he has refused to accept the break-up.

He therefore tailed his estranged girlfriend to an unidentified house.

Curious of what she was doing there, the suspect then proceeded to peep on her through an opened window only for him to see one pastor on top of his woman engaging in some hot s*x.

Furious by what he saw, Etifa then decided to burn the place up.

"It was due to anger that I carried out the arson. We have been dating for four years and this year, between October 30 and 31, I realised that my girlfriend was always going to the pastor’s house each time I was not at home," he said.

"When I found out the affair between the pastor and my girlfriend, I became angry and all I could think of at the time was to set them ablaze. It was anger that made me set them ablaze. I caught them red-handed sleeping on the bed after I peep through the window.” he added

Man Who Raped A Girl In A Church In Warri Flogged & Paraded

 A yet to be identified man was flogged and paraded for raping a little girl inside a church in Warri, Delta State. HGS Media Plus reports.

The incident happened on Friday, December 18 inside one House Of Grace Church in Idachaba street, near Ekpan Secondary school.

According to report gathered by HGS Media Plus, the little girl, (name withheld) was threatened with death by the suspect after raping her inside the church on knife point.

According to the victim, the suspect threatened to killed her if she told anyone about what he did to her.

HGS Media Plus learnt that the grandmother of the girl later found out what happened when her grand daughter complained of pains while trying to carry her.

The mother reported the matter to the community chief, Comrade Stephen Akemu who ordered for the arrest of the suspect.

HGS Media Plus also gathered that the suspects was caught and was flogged mercilessly before being paraded in the community.

 A 17-year-old boy who allegedly stabbed and killed a teacher on Thursday, has been arrested by the police to face charges for the crime.

According to reports, the stabbing incident happened in full view of a class that was in the process of writing an examination at Ramotshere Moiloa High School in Zeerust‚ North West.

It was gathered that the 24-year-old teacher, Gadimang Daniel Mokolobate, allegedly reprimanded the student on Wednesday for skipping the queue at the school’s feeding programme.

He reportedly returned the next day armed with the weapon.

“On Thursday, he didn’t come to school on time. He arrived at 11am and went into the classroom where other learners were writing.

“Two teachers were in the classroom invigilating. He approached the teacher (Mokolobate) who had reprimanded him yesterday (Wednesday) and stabbed him in the chest several times,” said the department of basic Education national spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga.

The boy ran away shortly after stabbing his teacher but a security guard and other students tackled him.

 15 year-old boy killed his 9-year-old cousin while raping her during a sleepover, then dumped her body in a gully, a court heard.

Jeremiah Morfin, who is now 17, had the sexual assault charge added to the murder allegation he already faces during a court hearing on Wednesday, Dec 16.

Prosecutor Imad Award told the preliminary hearing in Albuquerque, New Mexico that Aaliyah was fatally strangled while being sexually assaulted by her older cousin at sleepover.

Awad said the girl also suffered internal injuries after Morfin stomped on her chest.

Morfin, from Albuquerque in New Mexico, is being tried as an adult over claims he raped, then beat and strangled his cousin Aaliyah to death at a sleepover in January 2019.

The suspected murderer is then accused of dumping Aaliyah’s corpse in a storm drain.

Morfin allegedly killed Aaliyah at his family’s home, the Albuquerque Journal reported. His mother checked in on him the morning after the sleepover, to find Jeremiah cleaning his room and doing laundry, with Aaliyah missing.

The unnamed woman immediately got into her car and went looking for her niece. She says she returned home to a note from Jeremiah saying that he "kind of lost it" and "I did something bad."

Police were called, with one officer asking Jeremiah where Aaliyah was. He directed them to a gully where Aaliyah’s body was found.

Detectives who recovered the youngster’s remains said she had suffered visible trauma to her head and chest.

Morfin faces a charge of first-degree murder, and is being held in jail ahead of his trial.

Abia Police Recover Stolen Kids After Arresting Suspected Traffickers

 Men of Rapid Respond Squad, RRS of Abia State Police Command have recovered two kids from child trafficking syndicate who were recently arrested.

The Rapid Respond Squad, RRS was set up by the Commissioner of Police CP Janet Agbede to address security challenges around the state.

The RRS team led by the commander SP Johnbull Obioguru rescued two kids from where they were sold.

One of the kids whose name was given as Marvelous was rescued from Lagos while the second child was rescued from Port Harcourt on Saturday 12 December 2020.

Marvellous has been handed over to her parents by the RRS while the second child does not know his name nor the name of his parents, community or last contact address.

He was said to have been abducted at a very tender age.

The Command urges members of the public who lost their child to visit Police Headquarters in Umuahia or any nearest police station to identify if the said child is theirs.

Meanwhile, according to a police source, efforts is still on to rescue more kidnapped children from the child syndicate.

ABN TV reports that the command had last week paraded suspected traffickers arrested from various locations in Imo, Abia and Rivers.

 The body of a little girl who went missing after attending an event with her parents was found dead floating in a river in Ebonyi State. HGS Media Plus reports.

HGS Media Plus gathered that the little girl identified as Rosemary Chinyere Nnachi went missing on Saturday, December 12 after she attended an end of year event with her parents.

HGS Media Plus learnt that the deceased body was found dead floating in a river at one Nnodo community in Ebonyi, Abakaliki 48 hours after she was declared missing by her parents.

According to a legal practitioner, Ekigbo Sampson Nnamdi who shared the unfortunate incident, he wrote:

"The missing child was found dead. The world we live in is evil. Thanks to those who showed concern."
