A 38yr old barber, Mr. Maximum Akpotojor has been arrested by the men of the Nigeria
Police Force, Sapele Divisional Headquarters, Delta State for allegedly drugging and raping a 12-year-old girl, name withheld at Abeke road area of the town.
The incident which was said to have happened on Tuesday afternoon at the barber’s one-room apartment at along Abeke road just before Jehovah Witness hall.
A source who craved anonymity told ADVOCATE Akpojotor was a family friend to the victim, according to him, “he visited them and the victim with her brothers use to come to his saloon to charge their phones and even visit him at home.
“On that fateful day, Akpojotor had invited the girl over and gave her a meal laced with marijuana, and it was after he had slept with her that the girl woke up, still dizzy, ran out naked, raising alarm.”
He added the alarm attracted neighbours who alerted the girl parents, seeing the state of their daughter; the parents invited the police who arrested Akpojotor to the police station while the 12 years old girl is currently receiving treatment at the Sapele Police clinic.
Though the police in Sapele police command has officially refused to confirm the incident, a police source confirmed the arrested and the admission of the teenager in the police clinic, “yes, we have Maximum here on account of drugging and raping an underage girl and the girl is presently on admission at the police clinic,” the source said.
